The thought is just this: whether or not you see how the Creeds derive from and are consistent with the Bible, you will be better off if you simply accept their authority. Whether you see the Trinity, or the Godhood of Christ, etc., in Scripture may depend on your time, what you choose to read, and your theological ability. You will always be better off if you defer to the Creeds and read Scripture taking them as true. But this is to recognize that something has the authority to interpret Scripture definitively. The Catholic Church is, for my money, the best (and only?) candidate.
